Madu Bulan (Honey Moon), our newest Villa
Set downslope from the first two houses, Madu Bulan was built as a honeymoon cottage by my partner Lydia and her husband Alistair. They took the lessons learned from building the first houses and made improvements to the original designs. They then added their own special touches, providing a different character to the newest addition to the Sunrise Villas.
Madu Bulan is at the pool level, providing easy access to our beautiful swimming pool. At the next level down, in another lovely garden we built a small traditional Balinese bale. This is a platform supported by coconut logs at each corner, which also support a thatched roof. The bale is a perfect place to meditate, chat, read... whatever your preferred method of relaxation.
The interior was designed with an relaxed elegance in mind. Traditional teak furniture, carved stone, marble floors combine with contemporary comforts to provide the perfect place for the holiday of your dreams.
The verandas are very comfortable, with a lovely view of the gorge, great places to take one's ease and enjoy the soft, cooling breeze. The daybeds are netted for sleeping, and are the perfect place for a nap.
