This site is primarily intended to advertise three houses I designed and built with my partners, Made Sandi and Lydia Hawkins in the village of Ubud. They are set in lush tropical gardens, divided by waterfalls and pools inhabited by fish and frogs. The location is superb, set at the edge of a river gorge, with views of the opposing ridge 500 meters across the river, with rice paddies and coconut trees rising up from the far side of another gorge on the other side of the ridge. Behind the trees is the holy mountain Gunung Agung, a volcano reaching up more than 3000 meters. Since the view is nearly due east, the sunrises are spectacular. |
